Comedian Cathy Ladman says, "All religions are the same: religion is basically guilt, with different holidays." But isn't our faith supposed to expand our views and call us to something deeper than just ourselves? Can we truly live into God's call for our lives when we allow our religion to put us in a jar?
LEARNING TO WAIT
It sure is difficult to wait. We live busy lives. Just as we find ourselves struggling to add one more thing to our calendars, the season of Advent comes along and reminds us the importance of learning to slow down and wait. But Advent waiting doesn't mean kicking our feet up and relaxing. It can, however, realign the way we think about work, schedules, and how we build community.
